Elgar Care always delivers with a person-centred approach. Your home support package will be decided by you, you will pick the times, how many calls you want, and through your support plan you will specify your exact needs for your carers to follow, so your needs are met.

Home Support
Elgar Care believes everyone should be able to remain in a place that is full of happy memories. For most people this is their own home. We would like to think that this is achievable. We can offer Care/Support from as little as 1hr a week up to several times a day to suit your needs. Or a few hours to take you to appointments or places you may like to go.
What we can help with: –
- Bathing, showering or washing in a room that you choose.
- Tablets and creams – we can administer your medication and apply creams to parts of the body you cannot reach.
- Mealtimes, Our care staff can make simple cold meals or cook a meal from fresh ingredients. This could be with you or for you.
- Some one to be with when you are out and about.

Shopping and Cleaning
If you would like someone to go with you to go around the shops, we can organise a support worker to be with you. This could be to take and wait while you go to an appointment. Places of interest or simply to go clothes shopping.
If you are unable to walk long distances or need specialist transport this can be arranged. If a wheelchair is needed, we can check availability at places you may like to go. Staff can take you in their cars with a small contribution towards fuel.
Nothing is more uplifting than sitting back and relaxing in a freshly cleaned home. We have staff that can help you around the house cleaning and polishing to how you like jobs done.
Shopping and cleaning are charged at different rates to home support.

Companionship
If you’re still very much able to do everything yourself, but you just miss that companionship with someone? We can support you in this area, we will match your personality with one of our support workers, who you can then share your interests and hobbies together. We will meet your needs through your tailor-made support plan.

The best way to describe live in care is an alternative to moving into a care home.
This means rather than upping sticks and moving from your home we can source a member/s of staff to stay at your property. This can be for peace of mind, companionship or for someone in the background for only at the times you need something.
The staff can support you with your personal care or to be around for confidence while you shower/bathe.
With all the different medications and new remedies that are prescribed it can become confusing, as it can be hard to keep up with all the changes. Our staff are trained to be able to over see the administration.
Staff will be able to make meals or help you cook/bake if it’s something you enjoy. And of course, the staff will be able to complete domestic duties and laundry.
To have someone to go to appointments with you and accompany you on days out, if you choose.
Live in care is charged at set amount per week – this is a cheaper option than most residential/care homes. Prices are based around needs and choices to suit the individual.
